Easter

Easter was this last weekend and I have to say that my favorite part is the buying and wearing of the easter dress. Mine was yellow and ruffly this year, I loved it.
Easter was so early this year it was actually on moms birthday so we had a party for her the day before. We went to the park and dyed easter eggs and had a scavenger hunt and of course ate. I'm totally proud of my dorky little bunny cake I made. It was cute. On Easter we went to mom and dads and had a big hunt, decorated little bunny cakes and of course ate again. Raiden looked so cute for his first Easter. His shoes matched his shorts, they were really cute.Ricky didn't like them but I thought he looked cute. Later that evening we went to the Hanchetts to eat again. We had Mcs famous enchiladas and the kids did a hunt. Now, I guess the next event is Ironman. I have to say, i'm getting a little tired of being an Ironman widow.

Catch up

It finally happened. Every night I say to Ricky, "well, maybe this will be the lucky night" last night it was. Raiden slept throught the night!!!!! It's about time. It was probably a fluke but i'm trying to tell myself it wasn't. He's been such a good boy lately. He was sick for a while but he's finally acting like himself again. He's really gotten the hang of crawling and now he's even started pulling himself up onto his feet. It's time to majorly baby proof the house. I went yesterday to try and find baby gates that fit our banisters but no luck. Luckily he hasn't discovered the stairs yet.

Monday night for family night we went to the park with my family and Summer gave a cute little lesson for the kids . She does such a good job with the little guys. The rest of us just hung out and ate.

The Ironman gear is finally here!!! Mom and Dad (with the help of Rick and Kristi) gave the boys Custom jerseys and shorts for the ironman with RED26 logos on it and they finally got here. They look awesome. It's only 28 days until the big day. The boys are all gonna look so good. It'll help us girls be able to spot the boys better because they're bright red. Ricky loves them. He was so excited.

Crawling

I can't believe it. Raiden is crawling. He's been rocking on his knees for a while and last night finally figured out how to move his hands forward. He's only 6 months old, I feel like he's still supposed to be a tiny baby and now he's moving on his own. He's growing up way too fast! I think he's teething again. He's been a rascal the last few days and hasn't been sleeping at all, which means of course, I haven't been sleeping. Not fun!!

jumper

Raiden has discovered that he loves to jump. We put him in a jumper we borrowed from aunt Deon and he went crazy. It's my new life saver. I can put him in it and he'll jump and laugh and scream forever. I love it.
So, we had a picnic at the park this weekend to celebrate my birthday with my family. It was so nice outside we all just sat and layed around all afternoon. Summer gave me the best necklace and bracelet and earings ever. It's got a big tiara hanging from it. I love it. Scott and Kristen gave me a pan that bakes a huge hershey kiss, it's awesome. I can't wait to try it. Heather and derek gave me the diaper bag organizer I've been wanting. It's so nice it keeps all Raidens gear in one place. One of the things Ricky got me is a cookbook thats all about baking with a cake mix. So, my goal is to start with page one and go all the way through. I made the first one yesterday but I don't think i'll ever make it again. It wasn't good. So, I brought it to mom and dads house so maybe the kids would eat it. Ricky and I don't eat that many sweets so watch out family you're gonna be my testers!
Rickys down to about 50 or so days until the Ironman. Scary!!! He had a big weekend. I think the boys did a 112 mile bike ride on saturday and then an 18 mile run sunday morning. Not a very relaxing weekend I would say.

California trip

February is a big month for us. The 13th is our anniversary, the 14th is Valentines day and the 16th is my birthday. So, this year we spent the week in our favorite place, San Clemente California!! It was so fun. We left Tuesday after Ricky got of work and stayed until Monday morning. Mostly we just hung out at the beach and got in the jacuzzi at the hotel and ate tons of yummy food. We went to Universal Studios on Friday which was totally fun but we forgot about the lovely LA traffic and an hour ride home ended up taking 3 1/2 hours. It was so stinkin' frustrating. Scott and Kristen came in that night to stay with us for the weekend so that was fun, but,our room was slowly filling up because Heather and Derek and their girls came in the next night to stay with us. It was a big slumber party. 10 people in a room made for 4!!! Oh well, the more the merrier. Ricky made my birthday really good. We had breakfast at Pipes, shopping on Del Mar, relaxing on the beach, a yummy dinner and then cake and ice cream to top it off. It was a really good day. I'm missing the smell of the beach already. Only 5 more months until we go back.

Mr.GQ

I was bored the other night so I decided to play dress up with Raiden. I had forgotten Rickys cousin and sister gave me this tuxedo for my shower. It looks so stinking hilarious! It's probably a good thing Raidens not a girl or I'd probably be playing dress up every night. He's such a little chubbers the cumber bun barely fit around his belly. He was a good sport, he didn't even fuss while I squished him into it. Isn't he a liitle STUD!

President Hinckley

Today will be a memorable day. We are honoring and saying goodbye to our Prophet. His funeral is on TV today and i'm sure it's going to be beautiful. How exciting for him to be with his wife again! I can just see his smile now!!! I think I can say that he was my favorite prophet. I will really miss hearing him speak. He always had a way of pulling everybody in. I wish Raiden was old enough to remember him because I sure will.
